How we evaluate products

Our assessments draw on manufacturer specifications, published technical documentation, aggregated user reviews, independent expert sources, and our editorial team's research. Where physical hands-on testing occurred, it is stated explicitly in the article. All other assessments are research-based.

How we rank products

Rankings are determined by:

• Value for money relative to the category
• Build quality and documented reliability
• Feature set versus user needs (beginner / enthusiast / prosumer)
• Documented extraction or brewing performance
• Long-term user satisfaction based on published reviews

Affiliate commission rates play no role in rankings. A product that pays no commission can rank first; a product that pays a high commission can rank last or be excluded entirely. This separation is non-negotiable.

Price accuracy

Prices change. Each article records a price checked at date in its metadata. We recommend verifying the current price before purchasing. Articles in "Under $X" categories include a price disclaimer for this reason.
